Chris Bennett, co-owner of Cornerstone Landscapes, spent his childhood in Northeast Mississippi after moving from the Mississippi Delta. A stellar high school baseball career led Chris to Itawamba Community College, where he continued to play baseball. He then transferred to Belhaven University, earning a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance while playing baseball.

Career Journey

After college, Chris started in construction, specializing in dirt work before transitioning to corporate contract security. Rising from a security guard to Senior Branch Manager, Chris oversaw over 200 team members and managed $7 million in annual revenue. Seeking a career that allowed him to work outdoors, Chris founded COB Lawn Service in 2017. Partnering with Logan Ayers, they acquired Barefoot Lawns in Oxford and Cornerstone Landscapes in Tupelo.

Chris is dedicated to hard work, spending time outdoors, and delivering high-quality results for customers. On-site, he can be found installing drains, laying stone walkways, or running a weed eater. In his spare time, Chris enjoys working out, hunting, grilling, and spending time with his wife Olivia and their two daughters, Georgia and Bailey. The family is actively involved in Hope Church. Chris’s role at Cornerstone includes overseeing all operations, from hiring and training to scheduling and execution, ensuring timely and high-quality work.
